ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Below is a description of every position available during the Race Days. Please note that we do offer Pre-Event roles. For a complete listing, please refer to the online registration website.
1. Volunteer Welfare
Coordinate volunteer check-in and vaccination verification, distribute refreshments, manage bag deposit area, and assist with volunteer deployment.
2. Aid Station Crew
Help set up hydration stations along the running course, manage hydration tables by pouring drinks into cups and arranging them, and assist in cleaning and dismantling the Aid Station after the event.
3. Elite Aid Station
Position items for Elite runners appropriately before their arrival and clean up and dismantle the Elite Aid Station after their use.
4. Course Marshals
Monitor for potential hazards and report incidents on the course, provide directions to runners, spectators, and the public, maintain course safety by clearing debris and obstacles, ensure runners follow the designated route, and assist in timely setup of course logistics.
5. Precinct Management Crew
Guide runners from different drop-off points to the Runner Village entrance, offer event and directional information to runners and the public, and support security personnel in crowd management near the venue.
6. Courtesy Crew
Monitor runners to ensure they have their bibs before entering, oversee crowd management within the venue, provide guidance to runners, spectators, and the public regarding navigation and amenities, and encourage runners to report to their assigned positions 30 minutes before the start time.
7. Start Point Pens Crew
Ensure runners are in their assigned Holding PENS and hold onto barricade chains to prevent them from entering other Start PENS.
8. Bag Deposit Crew
Receive and deposit bags issued by the runners, ensuring accuracy of details and inclusion of valuables, place bags into designated storage area, and verify correct return of bags to runners after their race.
9. Village Drink Station Crew
Assist with pouring and replenishing drinks for runners at the Runner Village before they enter their assigned Start PENS.
10. Finish Line Crew
Cheer runners as they finish and prompt them to keep moving forward to prevent congestion from those still finishing.
11. Information Booth Crew
Gain a comprehensive understanding of the event day flow and details and acquaint yourself with the event layout and nearby surroundings for efficient assistance.
12. Medal Distribution Crew
Ensure enough medals are available for distribution and hand one to each runner who finishes.
13. Finisher T-shirt Distribution Crew
Understand how the T-shirt collection system works and give each runner the right-sized T-shirt after they have finished their run.
14. Recovery Crew
Know what runners are entitled to and distribute refreshments or products to them according to the collection flow.
15. Programme and Protocol Crew
Provide VIPs with event updates, prepare them for scheduled activities, assist key communities, manage VIP Hospitality access, distribute runner’s entitlements, redeploy P&P crew for post-race activities, and greet guests.
16. Corporate Hospitality Crew
Assist the Commercial Team at Corporate Hospitality Booths after the Finish Line, manage access for invited guests only, greet guests, answer questions, and provide wayfinding assistance.
17. Post-Race Zone Crew
Support the Commercial Team at Partners Booth in the Post-Race Zone, help manage queues, greet guests, provide information, and assist with navigation.
